To solve the problem of abnormal closure of the injection valve, the injection valve is opened through the descaling box in the process of advancing the billet, and high pressure water is sprayed to the surface of the billet through the descaling water nozzle to remove the oxide sheet. The interruption of injection permit condition is the direct cause of short closure of injection valve. In order to avoid the abnormal flask-off of the injection permit signal caused by communication interruption and other problems, the injection permit signal was filtered in the rolling line control PLC, which was gradually extended from 300ms to 1.2s, and the abnormal closure of the injection valve resulted in a significant decrease in the descaling and unnet phenomenon, but it was not completely eliminated.

To this end, the improvement team conducted an in-depth investigation and found that the root cause of the unsatisfactory injection permit conditions was that in the process of descaling, due to the decline in the pressurization capacity of the dephosphorization pump, the pressure of the output pipeline dropped sharply, which was briefly lower than the 17MPa allowed for injection, and finally led to the injection valve being closed interlocking because the injection conditions were not met. Therefore, the improvement team tried to gradually increase the pressure of the accumulator without changing the operating state of the phosphorus removal pump, so as to improve the compensation ability of the accumulator in the descaling process. The pressure was increased from 22MPa to 23MPa, and the pressure during descaling was maintained at more than 17MPa, completely eliminating the abnormal shutdown of the descaling water caused by an instant sharp drop in system pressure.

After a series of improvement measures for the frequent failure of high pressure water descaling pump, the water leakage of the minimum flow valve pipe flange is eliminated, the descaling pump that should be offline for maintenance can continue to be used and run well, and the online service life is extended, and the descaling impurities caused by intermittent closure of the descaling box at the back of the furnace are completely eliminated. In the month of improvement, the number of failures of high-pressure water descaling was zero, which saved the cost of spare parts for the company and extended the service life of the phosphorus removal pump.
